Flat Earth? Foucaults Pendulum

But if a pendulum works here on earth to determine earths spin then it is moving seperate from our atmosplane.... which would give a plane or a bullet the same ability to be seperate from the atmosphere to be affected by earths spin which does not happen.... So how does a pendulum with the same atmosphere work in the ways we are told.
